What is a Single-Ply Membrane? (SPM)

We offer a complete waterproofing system for EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) Aged Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene (CSPE) roofs that can improve and extend the life of the existing Single-Ply roof.

Conklin’s Single-Ply Membrane roofing systems are made with premium thermoplastic membranes. During installation, membrane rolls are overlapped and welded together to form an exceptionally durable, waterproof, energy-efficient shield that will deliver unsurpassed protection for years to come.

The Process

Prepare Substrate

Cleaning
Removing debris or existing roof
Repair / Patch existing damage
Application of Rust Off® Rust and oxide remover

Insulation

We install a layer of suitable board stock, which the membrane will be attached to. The board stock provides a layer of protection from debris, as well as creates a floor of insulation to help reduce cost associated with building heating / cooling.

Attach Membrane

Our ENERGY STAR-rated, thermoplastic membrane provides fantastic protection from the elements. Its unique thermoplastic formulation has been reinforced with DuPont® Elvaloy® for superior strength, durability, and flexibility. Furthermore, it is naturally fire-resistant and has been recognized by most major code approval agencies. Flexion XL is an excellent choice for both new and re-roofing applications.
